Here are three reasons why the recent Aaron Donald signing may put the Los Angeles Rams in the conversation of potential dynasty.

Just in time before Week 1, the Los Angeles Rams finally reached an agreement with superstar Aaron Donald after the two sides agreed to a whopping six-year, $135 million deal on Friday, giving up the highest contract for a defensive player for almost 24 hours. The following morning, Khalil Mack ended up topping Donald’s deal after he was traded to the Chicago Bears, but all that matters to the Rams is one of their top players is going to be around through the 2024 season.

As frustrating as it was to see Donald deal with a holdout all of training camp and preseason for a second year in a row, there’s no question he’s worth every penny of that hefty contract when looking at how much of an impact he’s made over the last four years. While the 39 sacks since 2014 may not seem as impressive when compared to other big-name defenders across the league, keep in mind that Donald managed to do this along with making four trips to the Pro Bowl all while receiving plenty of extra attention from opponents.

Now that Donald finally has the contract he’s spent the last two years fighting for, all eyes will be on the former Pittsburgh star to continue being a top defender in the league while helping the Rams live up to the hype of being a Super Bowl contender.

But just for fun, here are three reasons why the recent signing of Donald could put the Rams in that category if all goes well over the next couple of years.
