Here are three takeaways from the Los Angeles Rams 33-13 win over the Oakland Raiders in Week 1.

After all of the questions surrounding what to expect from this team in Week 1 after resting most of their starters in preseason, the Los Angeles Rams started off 2018 on a hot note by escaping with a 33-13 win on the road against the Oakland Raiders. It may not have looked pretty at times in the first half, but thanks to some key adjustments at halftime, the Rams were able to come through in a big way during the second half by outscoring the Raiders 23-0 to begin the new season 1-0 before an important Week 2 matchup at home against the Arizona Cardinals.

From how Aaron Donald would look after missing all of training camp and preseason due to a holdout to whether the offense would be rusty after key starters like Jared Goff and Todd Gurley rested all of preseason, Los Angeles was able to answer these questions for the most part. And just like every other team in the NFL, the Rams have plenty of areas that could see improvement before next Sunday arrives to give them a better chance of winning the home opener.

Before jumping that far ahead, it only seems fair to examine a few key talking points from Monday’s win over Oakland since Los Angeles certainly gave fans plenty to discuss after the game. Starting off with members of the defense stepping up, here are three takeaways for the Rams from their season-opening win against the Raiders for fans to take into consideration.
