24. Miami Dolphins
After hours consisting of weather delays, the Miami Dolphins were able to start off the new season on a hot note by taking down a playoff team from a year ago in the Tennessee Titans, who dealt with all sorts of injuries on Sunday. Entering 2018, one of the biggest questions surrounding the Dolphins was what to expect from Ryan Tannehill at quarterback, and whether the team made the right choice in giving him another chance to prove himself.
The injury bug has haunted the former first-round pick in each of the last two seasons, and Tannehill realizes this could be his final chance to prove himself worthy, or Miami may consider other options in 2019. Tossing two interceptions was frustrating to see on Tannehill’s end, but with his two touchdown passes along with the fact that Miami earned the win is what matters the most from Week 1.
Now, the question becomes whether Tannehill can put together another decent performance on Sunday when the Dolphins take on the New York Jets in what should be an underrated AFC East battle. Division games will be key since everyone will be looking to overtake the New England Patriots, so Miami better be ready for New York.
