15. Washington Redskins

The Washington Redskins wasted little time in the offseason assuming that Kirk Cousins would no longer be in the picture for the 2018 season, and even though the team could have explored options in free agency or the draft, trading for Alex Smith was the right choice. Keep in mind that the only reason why the Kansas City Chiefs traded the veteran quarterback was due to former first-round pick Patrick Mahomes II being ready to take over the starting role, meaning Smith has plenty of good years left in him.

With that being said, there were some concerns surrounding Smith, and whether he would still be able to be effective with a younger, less talented group of receivers than he had in Kansas City. But when seeing how the Redskins were able to take down the Arizona Cardinals 24-6, Smith looks like he’s going to be just fine playing with his new team.

Also, how great was it to see Peterson finish his Washington debut with 96 rushing yards to go along with a trip into the end zone? For a veteran that nobody seemed to want, Peterson seems to be taking advantage of the surprise opportunity with the Redskins.
