2. Los Angeles Rams

Cards on the table, the Rams most likely would have been able to get by just fine during Monday’s contest against the Raiders if Donald’s holdout was still going on since the defense seems to be in that great of shape. There were some concerns over Los Angeles when looking at some of their struggles from the firs half, but once the momentum started to work in the second half, any concerns quickly disappeared.

Not only did Todd Gurley (108 rushing yards) and Brandin Cooks (five catches for 87 yards) show on numerous occasions that Los Angeles is going to be difficult to contain on offense when facing Oakland, but also Marcus Peters proved he was well worth the risk in the offseason. When the Rams first pulled off the surprise trade to land the former star cornerback of the Kansas City Chiefs, many wondered if Peters would end up being more of a distraction in the locker room when looking at his history.

After watching him take an interception off Carr to the house, this was just another example of how much of a difference this defense can be with Peters and the rest of the new additions made by the Rams. Now that Los Angeles has this first win under their belt, all eyes will be on the team’s Week 2 meeting with the Arizona Cardinals to see if they can get off to a better start, and continue to show they are in fact one of the most talented NFL teams.
