27. Cleveland Browns

There aren’t many fan bases that will celebrate a tie in the NFL, but when looking at how the previous two seasons have been for the Cleveland Browns, that was exactly the case on Sunday when facing a familiar rival in the Pittsburgh Steelers. As crazy as it sounds, many believed the Browns were certainly capable of pulling off the upset in the opener, but after missing out on numerous opportunities to escape with the win, Hue Jackson’s team was forced to settle for a tie.

That’s right, Cleveland now has just as many ties as wins since Jackson came on board when taking into consideration this team is now 1-31-1 dating back to the 2016 season. After an offseason consisting of numerous additions on both sides of the football, the Browns are a team many believe could end up being a surprise in the AFC, and despite the tie, they did show against the Steelers their ability to compete.

Hopefully, Jackson’s team can use this tie against Pittsburgh as a confidence boost moving forward to actually provide some excitement to this Cleveland team for a change. It sounds ridiculous to point out, but tying the Steelers is already progress when compared to last year for the Browns.
