1. Todd Gurley

Even though he managed to find the end zone in the first, fantasy football owners with Todd Gurley on their roster were feeling all sorts of frustration when seeing how the Rams running back only received five carries in the first half of Monday’s game. But when seeing his overall numbers from the game, those same fans felt a lot better about Gurley’s overall production in the first game of the year to start off on a positive note.

By finishing with 108 rushing yards on 20 carries, Gurley seems to have picked right up from his breakout year in 2017 when he finished with 2,093 yards from the line of scrimmage to go along with 19 touchdowns. When considering all of the fantasy football owners that were ready to give up on Gurley after failing to record a single 100-yard rushing game in 2016, it’s great to see the former Georgia star seeming ready for another big season.

Also, Gurley has every reason in the world to be all smiles over his record-setting deal from the Rams a few weeks back to make sure he’s going to be around for the long run. Gurley has proven to be a workhorse at running back, and with Arizona’s defense having a reputation for standing out at times, Los Angeles knows they may need to rely on a heavy workload for their beloved running back come Sunday.
