Los Angeles Rams: 3 storylines for Week 3 against the Chargers
By Steve Rivera
The Los Angeles Rams play the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3. A matchup some see as a Super Bowl preview.
The Los Angeles Rams will bring a 2-0 record to their Week 3 game against cross-town rival, the Los Angeles Chargers.
Go easy fans. The LA Chargers, for better or for worse, are going to be around for a long time and will be a stadium mate for the Rams when the Inglewood facility finally opens in 2020. That said, the move north for the Bolts has been less than ideal for a team who once boasted a solid fan base in San Diego.
Winning on Sunday could change that.
Week 3 will also bring two teams together who more than a few “experts” like in a Super Bowl matchup in Atlanta.
For the record, the Rams are the home team, and given that the Chargers play in a soccer stadium in the StubHub Center, the Rams should feel a “home field” advantage in the Coliseum.
That may be the only advantage the Rams have.
The Chargers will be the best team head coach Sean McVay and his team have faced in 2018. This won’t be the Arizona Cardinals or the Oakland Raiders. Quarterback Philip Rivers is every bit the goods as is running back Melvin Gordon.
Rams versus Chargers will be better than what fans saw in either Week 1 or 2. They are solid and won’t be an easy roll-over as the Cardinals were last week or the Raiders were in the second half of Week 1.
The Rams will need to be very good in Week 3 as the Chargers won’t go easily.
