3. Jared Goff

As mentioned before, most quarterbacks would love to find themselves in the position Goff is in playing in an offense that is loaded with talent to give him the potential to put up major points on a weekly basis. While some will look at Goff only having three touchdown passes to date as a reason for concern, keep in mind these numbers would most likely be a lot higher if it wasn’t for Gurley pounding his way into the end zone as much as he has.

Then again, as long as the Rams are winning football games, this is what matters the most for Sean McVay and company. But as great as it’s been to see Gurley work his way into the end zone as much as he has so far in 2018, Sunday’s game against the Chargers could be one of those games in which the Rams rely more on Goff through the air, which would be completely fine.

Goff and the Rams have been able to get by these first few weeks without the quarterback putting up monster numbers, but the circumstances could be much different this Sunday since the Chargers’ defense knows the importance of keeping Gurley in check. Plus, it should also be noted that Gurley only averaged 2.2 yards per carry last weekend against Arizona, which makes Goff even more intriguing to consider.
