Here are three key takeaways from the Los Angeles Rams pulling through for the 35-23 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3.

Another week, another impressive victory by the Los Angeles Rams, as Sean McVay‘s team had little trouble for the most part getting by the Los Angeles Chargers for a 35-23 win on Sunday, improving their record to 3-0 on the 2018 season. After cruising to favorable wins for the most part against the Oakland Raiders and Arizona Cardinals, the Chargers seemed like they would be the toughest challenge to date for the Rams, and they were when looking at the overall picture.

Whether it was Mike Williams finding the end zone twice or the Rams only being up eight points at halftime, this game could have easily gone the other way instead of the Chargers finishing on the losing end. But once again, the Rams came up big when it mattered the most to continue making their case over being one of the top Super Bowl contenders in the NFC.

While there were plenty of reasons behind the Rams big win on Sunday, one of the biggest factors that stood out the most was Jared Goff putting together another stellar performance by completing 29 of 36 passes for 354 yards to go along with three touchdowns. Goff’s interception in the end zone seemed like a concern at first, but hopefully these are the kind of mistakes the third-year quarterback can learn from moving forward.

Then again, from an overall perspective, Goff must have felt pretty good to finish with this kind of game after all of the chatter from last week over him being labeled a system quarterback. But instead of getting into the details over that ridiculous assumption, let’s take a look at some of the key takeaways from Sunday’s win over the Chargers before the Rams take on the Minnesota Vikings in a few days from now.
