The Rams have an opportunity to move to 4-0 tonight as they host the Minnesota Vikings in an NFC showdown on Thursday Night Football. The game against the Vikings, who are a favorite for another run at a Super Bowl, will feature two quarterbacks who can go a long way in building a championship kind of resume.
That said, it’s also also an opportunity that gives the Rams a stand-alone game in prime-time, rather than being a second game in ESPN’s gimmicky Monday Night Football season kickoff doubleheader. That’s a big deal as EVERYONE gets a first hand look at who many now consider the best team in the NFL.
Los Angeles will be without a couple of key defensive components as Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters will be out in Week 4. Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins, who could use a big performance for Minnesota, will still have a solid Rams offense to contend with.
I don’t like Cousins to do much tonight except throw some interceptions against some significant pressure from the Rams up front. As such, LA will get extra shots on offense that could produce a big score before all is said and done.
It’s hard NOT to like the Rams in Week 4. Look for them to move to 4-0 and be a clear cut favorite not just from the NFC, but a favorite to win it all.
