The best story in the NFC West is clearly the success and huge potential of the Los Angeles Rams. But the most intriguing story may wind up being the Seahawks.

At 1-2, the Seahawks have an opportunity to get their early season record to 2-2 with a win against the Cardinals, and with Arizona looking pretty inept on offense, chances are good Seattle gets to .500 on Sunday.

They could use the win in a big way, as an opportunity to hit the reset button helps them if they harbor any postseason aspirations in 2018.

October will be an interesting month for the Seahawks as they have only three games, with two against pretty average teams in the Oakland Raiders and the Detroit Lions. They open the month against the Rams, and that’s a game that probably doesn’t go well for them.

So, it’s highly likely that a win in Arizona launches Seattle to 4-3 by October 28, with a lot of season still to go this year.

That’s a “best case” scenario, but one that the Seahawks would take given how things have gone so far this year.

Week 4 has what looks to be a near layup for Seattle. A win against the Cardinals helps them keep pace with the Rams in the NFC West, which may be all they end up playing for this season.
