3. Career game in Week 4

Seeing the Rams win each of their first three games by double-digits shows just how much of a high-powered offense this team has, and even though it would have been great to see the same happen against the Vikings, a win is still a win, no matter what. At the end of the day, Los Angeles should just be thrilled over the fact that they put up 38 points on the defending NFC North champions, mainly thanks to a career day by Goff.

It was one thing to see Goff finish with four touchdowns in the first half, but seeing how he completed 26 of 33 passes for 465 yards in the game overall to go along with five touchdowns was a huge statement by the Rams quarterback. Keep in mind that it was only last week in which Goff received some unfair criticism by some for being labeled as a “system” quarterback on offense for Los Angeles.

The best way to prove doubters wrong is to come out with a stellar performance, and seeing Goff find a way to top his Week 3 performance against the Los Angeles Chargers with an outing like Thursday shows he’s the real deal. Even better, the Rams should benefit from a few extra days before their Week 5 meeting with the Seattle Seahawks, which could result in another monster game by Goff if all goes well.
