3. Cooks finally gets first touchdown

Losing Sammy Watkins in free agency was a crushing blow for the Rams at the time, but also deep down the team knew they would be just fine in the passing game when looking at all of the weapons Jared Goff still had to work with. Then Brandin Cooks all of a sudden came into the picture after Los Angeles acquired the speedster from the New England Patriots during the offseason through a trade.

All of a sudden, those feelings of disappointment after seeing Watkins walk quickly went out the window since the team seemed to receive an upgrade at the position with Cooks, which they arguably did. Cooks has wasted little time making an impact with the Rams when seeing the numbers (26 catches for 452 yards with a score) he’s put together over the first four games, and the best part about Thursday is he finally found the end zone for the first time with his new team.

Of course, there really wasn’t that much frustration towards Cooks taking until Week 4 to find the end zone for the first time since Los Angeles was winning games, which was the most important factor of all. But just seeing how happy Cooks and his teammates were to earn a trip into the end zone against Minnesota was amazing to see, which will hopefully be one of many trips throughout the 2018 season.
