2. Rams made statement defeating top contender

Los Angeles fans remember well last season what happened when they faced Minnesota, as the argument can be made that Mike Zimmer’s team gave them a major wake up call with a brutal loss on the road. This time around, it would be the Rams hosting the Vikings, and watching them hang on for the win was not only incredible to watch, but also a major statement when it comes to the top teams in the NFC.

A few months from now, there’s a good chance that both Los Angeles and Minnesota will be in the running for a playoff spot, although the Rams are in a much better position than the Vikings at the moment. Still, when seeing how Minnesota reached the NFC Championship last season while upgrading at the quarterback position with Cousins, Los Angeles could have easily ended up on the losing end of this battle.

By taking down Minnesota, Los Angeles only added to the list of reasons why they deserve to be viewed as one of the top contenders in the NFC, and how they’re not going away anytime soon following a 4-0 start. And who knows, maybe these two teams will happen to meet again come January, but the Rams will worry about that later on in the season.
