The Los Angeles Rams continue their unbeaten streak after outlasting the Seattle Seahawks 33-31 in Week 5 action. How did LA grade against their NFC West foe?

The Los Angeles Rams won a tight one against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5 on the road 33-31. LA was better or at least good enough to remain unbeaten on a day a lot of “good teams” would have lost.

It also moved the Rams to 2-0 in the NFC West, possibly deciding a relatively weak division before the middle of October.

In the win, we learned that Jared Goff can be mortal, the Rams defense can be pushed around by a mediocre offense, and that running back Todd Gurley is a workhorse on a team where the running game is absolutely critical.

Goff, who threw for 321 yards simply can’t cough up interceptions. Yes, LA can outscore you so long as time is still on the clock, but five weeks in we are also seeing a high ticket item like the Rams defense giving up 30 plus points two weeks in a row.

The balance of this Rams team has seen the pendulum swing to the offense. As good as the defense was predicted to be, the offense is significantly better, hands down.

Does this mean that Los Angeles has to score 30 plus to win a football game every week? If it does, the Rams administration got absolutely fleeced on big name defensive talent who has only name value.

Week 5 in Seattle delivered a win. But the grades for a 33-31 victory are relatively average and will need to see improvement in the weeks ahead.
