The Seattle Seahawks are a team hanging around in the NFC West. With the Los Angeles Rams both the best team in the division AND the best team in the National Football League, a team who can hover around .500 has some opportunities.

Is Seattle going to win the West?
No, not unless Los Angeles goes south in an unprecedented collapse.

That said the Seahawks get a winnable game at the end of October when they play the Lions on the road. If they win that game, it gives them a chance in a month of November that will be tough.

The slate in the second half of the season features the Los Angeles Chargers at home, the Rams in LA, the Packers in Seattle, and a trip to the East Coast to play the Carolina Panthers.

Bottom line, November looks to be a make-or-break month. It’s absolutely conceivable that the Seahawks could hit the holiday month of December either 5-6 or 6-5.

Seattle is an interesting team as they head into their bye week. Losses to Denver, the Chicago Bears and the Rams were by a combined 12 points.

The Seahawks aren’t a bad team, but they also aren’t a very good one.

November will determine if they are a team rebuilding or needing to make only a tweak here and there.
