Maybe it’s bold or maybe it’s not, but after being out with an injury one suspects kicker Greg Zuerlein wants to kick the heck out of a football, and Rams head coach Sean McVay wants to see him do just that.

Heck, everyone does.

Zuerlein is not an unknown scoring quantity. He’s an absolute asset, and his being out left a significant void in addition to leaving some some points out on the field. With him back in the lineup the Los Angeles Rams have ANOTHER scoring option should the offense stall.

Sorry Niners fan.
Rejoice Rams fan!

I think Los Angeles scores a lot of points in Week 7 against the 49ers and I think Zuerlein is part of that equation.

Also worth considering, is the significant relief this must be for McVay. Certainly he’s seen his offense capable of going off for 30 plus in just about any game. But with a defense that may be a concern against better offenses, knowing your kicker is just about automatic is a card he’d like to play with greater frequency.

Without question, McVay and the Rams have a bounty of riches when it comes to talent and offensive weapons. Zuerlein being out was a reminder of how significant he is on this roster.
