Ultimately, the National Football League is good at quickly distilling who the best team is based on who had the best personnel very quickly. Pretenders don’t last long in this league, and one good showing is quickly forgotten if the next one isn’t quite so much.

You can doubt elements of the 2018 Los Angeles Rams but top to bottom, you can’t ignore that with Zuerlein back on the field, that the quality and balance of talent is on the LA sideline.

Again, sorry Niners fan.
Again, rejoice Rams fan.

That said, it’s worth considering Los Angeles has a pretty big game next week. Week 8 against the Packers is no layup despite how inconsistent Green Bay has looked. Packers at the Rams will be a featured game next Sunday and LA shouldn’t get caught looking ahead.

One other thing to remember is 1-3. That’s the Rams record against the San Francisco 49ers since moving back to Los Angeles.

So, is this a trap game?

Is this the game where we all wondered where quarterback C.J.Beathard has been all of our life?

If the better talent wins, then this isn’t a game the Rams lose. Remember, Los Angeles won in Week 3 against the Niners last season and then went on to beat the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4. Both those games were on the road.

Some will pick against the Rams this week for the “trap game” reason alone.

I won’t.
