The Los Angeles Rams remain undefeated as they beat their NFC West rival San Francisco 49ers 39-10.

With relative ease, the Los Angeles Rams rolled over their NFC West rival San Francisco 49ers 39-10. Give the Niners credit though, as they managed to hold LA to a single field goal through one quarter of play.

Hey San Francisco, take the moral victory and go quietly, because the rest is very ugly.

If the 49ers overachieved against a mediocre Green Bay Packers, then the best team in the National Football League put them back in their place on Sunday afternoon.

Of note, the 39 points the Rams put up on San Francisco wasn’t a tour de force kind of performance. Quarterback Jared Goff only threw for 202 yards on 24 attempts with 18 completions. Running back Todd Gurley, an early candidate for league MVP, wasn’t even the leading rusher for that Rams in Week 7. That distinction goes to Malcolm Brown with 65 yards on 13 carries, as compared to Gurley who had 63 yards on 15 rushes with two touchdowns.

The best news of the day was seeing Greg Zuerlein kick three field goals. His return to the Los Angeles lineup is significant, especially as the Rams continue down some recent uncharted territory for a team now flirting with potential greatness.

For those who may have seen the 49ers as a potential trap game, as the team looks forward to Week 8 in the Los Angeles Coliseum against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, know that the possibility of the Rams closing the books on the first half of the 2018 season at 8-0 is now startlingly tangible.

Next. Rams-3 way to early picks in the 2019 NFL Draft. dark

For the cynic like me who was anticipating the logical flaws in a team with such hope and hype surrounding it, the 7-0 record has shown a Rams team capable of winning in a variety of ways. That said, Green Bay will be a test as a sure fire Hall of Famer like Rodgers rolls in to LA next Sunday afternoon looking to add to his legend.
