Believe it or not, Todd Gurley has scored more points for the Los Angeles Rams so far in 2018 than the Buffalo Bills as a team.

One of the biggest questions surrounding the Los Angeles Rams heading into the 2018 season was whether Todd Gurley would pick right up where he left off from last year, although there really wasn’t that much of a concern.

After failing to record a single 100-yard rushing game in 2016 as a result of a poor offensive line and offense in general, Gurley finally had a breakout season in 2017 after finishing with 2,093 yards from the line of scrimmage to go along with 19 total touchdowns.

If these numbers weren’t impressive enough, it should also be noted that Gurley finished second in the MVP voting to Tom Brady after the future Hall of Famer would eventually lead the New England Patriots to another Super Bowl appearance before falling to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Rightfully so, Los Angeles fans were beyond excited to see what kind of impact Gurley would have heading into his second season playing under Sean McVay since the Rams head coach had quickly proven to be an offensive mastermind.

Topping his 2017 production seemed like a long shot, but through seven games, there’s every reason to believe that Gurley will top last year’s numbers since he’s already recorded 956 yards from the line of scrimmage to go along with 14 trips into the end zone.

Without question, these numbers are beyond impressive, and have made plenty of fantasy football owners with Gurley on their roster quite happy. However, when it comes to the most impressive statistics of all, the fact that Gurley has more points so far in 2018 than the Buffalo Bills as a team is beyond wild to think about.

All due respect to the Bills, this statistic is beyond pathetic on their end, whether they’re struggling in general on offense or not. As impressive as Gurley has been, no individual player should be able to score more points than an actual team, no matter how sad this year has been at times for Buffalo.

Luckily for the Rams, this is one of those situations in which there really isn’t an impact on their end since as long as Gurley is producing the necessary numbers to help them win games, that’s all they really care about.

At the end of the day, this is just another friendly reminder for Los Angeles fans that Gurley is quite the special talent at running back. And when looking at the pace he’s currently at in the touchdown department, one can only imagine what Gurley’s final total will be at the end of December.
