Week 8 will see the Los Angeles Rams look to continue a perfect season while the rest of the NFC West tries to improve on a down year in the division.

As the Los Angeles Rams and the rest of the NFC West steam towards Week 8 and the midway point of the 2018 NFL season, the state of the division looks to be pretty well defined between the haves and the have-nots.

Simply put, the Rams are at the top of the heap, the Seattle Seahawks are somewhere in the middle, and the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers are setting up shop in the basement.

It’s some tough times in the West for anyone not wearing a Rams uniform. But Week 8 also provides some opportunities for teams to make a move up the standings.

For instance, the Seahawks can get a game over .500 with a win at the Detroit Lions. The Cardinals or 49ers can move out of last place by one team beating the other, and the Rams have an opportunity to remain undefeated and move to 8-0 with a win over the Green Bay Packers.

A lot in the division has probably been decided given the gap between Los Angeles and everyone else, but it’s Seattle who still has some room to make something positive come out of a season teetering on the brink.

Week 8 will certainly set the table for what we see the rest of the year in both the division and the league, especially if the Rams remain unbeaten.
