3 ways Los Angeles Rams can improve in Week 8 against Green Bay Packers

2. Make sure defense steps up
Just because the Rams only allowed the 49ers to score 10 points in Week 7 doesn’t mean there’s no reason for concern against the Packers since they’re going to be facing a completely different offense. With all due respect to San Francisco, their offense doesn’t even come close to what Green Bay brings to the table on a weekly basis, meaning Los Angeles better be ready.
If anything, all the Rams have to do is look at some of their previous games against other playoff caliber teams like the Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks to see their defense hasn’t exactly done the best of jobs when it comes to stopping opponents from putting up points. Coincidentally, Los Angeles allowed both Minnesota and Seattle to put up 31 points in each of those games, but at least they still won, which is what matters the most.
Allowing a team like the Packers to score more than 30 points will only put more pressure on Goff and the offense to come through on their end. Keeping Green Bay’s offense in check won’t be easy, but if Los Angeles can step up on defense with one of their stronger outings, 8-0 seems likely to happen come Sunday.
