3. Patrick Peterson

The purpose of this article is dream trades the Rams would love to see take place, and when seeing how much of a long shot it would be for the team to land Patrick Peterson, it’s easy to understand why the cornerback is on the list. Not only would Los Angeles most likely be forced to give up a first or second round pick just to have a chance at a deal like this, but since Arizona would probably prefer to trade Peterson outside the NFC West, this makes it seem even more unrealistic to happen.

Of course, that’s not to say the Rams wouldn’t welcome Peterson with open marks since he’s arguably the hottest cornerback in trade talk discussions at the moment, and rightfully so when looking at the impact he’s made during his career with the Cardinals.

One can only imagine if this possibility would even be a consideration if Arizona were actually contenders instead of a team going through rebuilding mode since they only have two wins to date, both of which happened to come against the San Francisco 49ers. Plus, just the thought of a defensive coordinator like Wade Phillips getting to work with a talented player in Peterson will put a smile on the face of any Rams fan.
