2. No answers for Thomas

First off, to say Marcus Peters had a poor performance against the Saints would be a huge understatement when looking at how much the Rams cornerback struggled for the most part, especially when it came to keeping Michael Thomas in check. A few years ago, New Orleans felt confident in the potential surrounding the former Ohio State star, but it’s safe to say nobody expected him to be this good, and Sunday showed just how dangerous Thomas can be when on top of his game.

Seeing Thomas finish the game with 12 catches for 211 yards with one touchdown shows just how much the Rams in general struggled to keep the football out of the hands of the Saints wideout. But what also needs to be mentioned is how the touchdown by Thomas happened to come on a 72-yard play with just under four minutes remaining in the game to basically seal the victory for New Orleans.

Thomas certainly deserves all of the credit in the world for putting together this kind of game since it’s never easy to break the 200-yard mark, no matter who the player happens to be. Los Angeles knew it would difficult to keep New Orleans in check, but what Thomas did do the Rams’ defense was absolutely ridiculous to witness.
