1. Defense looked awful

Whether they wanted to admit it or not, there was some concern surrounding the Rams’ defense heading into Sunday’s game with the Saints when looking at some of the big points the unit had given up on previous teams. Unfortunately, no team compared to what New Orleans was able to accomplish against Los Angeles by putting up 45 points, and if the concerns weren’t there before for the defense, they’re certainly here now.

Expectations were higher than ever for the Rams on defense heading into 2018 when seeing how Ndamukong Suh would be joining Aaron Donald on the defensive line along with the team making it seem like they earned a steal with Peters. Sure, there have been some pretty great games in which the defense came through in a big way, but also there have been concerns as well, and Sunday’s loss was the perfect example of how this team has plenty of work on their hands before Week 10.

Chances are that if Los Angeles is going to earn a trip to the Super Bowl, New Orleans is going to be right there standing in their way. So if these two teams happen to meet again in the postseason, here’s to hoping the Rams’ defense has made the necessary adjustments to be better prepared, or those Super Bowl dreams could be quickly crushed come January.
