The San Francisco 49ers get a stat builder and a possible/likely win when the New York Giants come calling for a bad, absolutely disastrous and unwatchable Monday Night Football game in Week 10.

Fun, huh?

The Niners, off of a pseudo bye week after a Thursday night clubbing of the Oakland Raiders 34-3, get another super bad team in the fading Giants.

Like I said, absolutely disastrous and unwatchable for football, but a near sure bet for a needed win that would move the 49ers to 3-7 overall and provide them a two game winning streak.

The Niners will look to keep the magic going with quarterback Nick Mullens, the undrafted QB from Southern Miss and latest offering from head coach Kyle Shanahan who is looking to keep the ship afloat until Jimmy Garoppolo can get back under center sometime in 2019.

That’s a big deal.

In the meantime Mullens, who scorched the Raiders for 262 yards and three touchdowns gets to keep the quarterback job while C.J. Beathard tends to a bad wrist.

San Francisco deserves credit for continuing to look for answers. They could have limped along with Beathard but saw something in Mullens. In a season completely lost with the injury to Garoppolo, the Niners are looking for wins however they can get them.
