If there is anything like an absolute sure bet, taking the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 10 against the Cardinals is probably one you’d take to the betting window and feel very good about. At 2-6 and coming off of a win against fellow NFC West cellar dwellers in the 49ers, a bye week might help them against one of the hottest teams and hottest quarterbacks in the National Football League.

Uhh, not likely.

As much as I’ve considered quarterback Patrick Mahomes a flavor of the month, fact is he’s the absolute goods. He’s a star on the rise, and with a showdown looming in Week 11 with the Los Angeles Rams in Mexico City, possibly between two one loss teams and a “could be” Super Bowl preview, the Chiefs get another shot at an NFC West team already having beaten the Niners 38-27.

For the Cardinals, 2018 has become an audition for rookie Josh Rosen. Not to say Rosen is going anywhere as he’s the incumbent quarterback in 2019 and beyond. It’s a chance for Arizona to get better and to get Rosen necessary reps that will ultimately benefit him down the road. With veteran Sam Bradford officially gone and on the scrap heap, it’s Rosen’s gig to make something of it.
