The Los Angeles Rams win a thriller in the Coliseum as they hold off the Seattle Seahawks 36-31 to run their record to 9-1, leading to a showdown in Week 11 against the Kansas City Chiefs in Mexico City.

The Los Angeles Rams got their ninth win of the 2018 season when they outlasted the Seattle Seahawks 36-31 in a good NFC West battle at the LA Coliseum.

In a game that was close throughout, Los Angeles found a way to keep Seattle in it with a host of defensive penalties, especially by Dante Fowler Jr. who worked hard to make sure the Seahawks were in it until the end.

Los Angeles was remarkably undisciplined on defense giving Seattle and quarterback Russell Wilson ample shots at the end zone. For those who thought this game would be a walkover, you were sadly mistaken. The Rams on defense is a growing liability, and any close game against a better offense will spell disaster as the season wears on.

While the defense and their host of penalties will be a discussion this week, the offense is still the bigger and better story. Quarterback Jared Goff turned in another solid performance going 28 of 39 for 318 yards and two touchdowns. He also avoided any interceptions.

Running back Todd Gurley was MVP like in Week 10, rushing for 120 yards on 16 carries scoring once.

The win on Sunday all but locks up the NFC West. The Rams remain unbeaten in the division while Seattle falls to a game under .500, a place they’ve become comfortable being in.

The win also sets up a mega showdown on ESPN and Monday Night Football to wrap up Week 11. Los Angeles will “host” the 9-1 Kansas City Chiefs in Mexico City. The game will feature two players in both Gurley and quarterback Patrick Mahomes as they battle for league MVP. It will also serve as a possible Super Bowl preview.
