I don’t mind saying that the Monday Night Football slate of games these last few years aren’t always as compelling as those found on what NBC will often flex into the Sunday Night window. That said, when the NFL schedules what ESPN gets, it isn’t always a game worth watching.

Week 11 is a completely different story.

Both the Los Angeles Rams and the Kansas City Chiefs are legitimate contenders at 9-1 for not just a playoff appearance, but legitimate contenders for the Super Bowl. It’s what you want to see on a platform like Monday Night Football.

It’s also not someplace you often find the Rams, like as in in prime-time for fans on the other coast to see.

While the Week 11 game features Los Angeles, the league and networks really missed out on this team. They were flexed out of a Sunday night game on NBC because their opponent, the San Francisco 49ers, had fallen off with the injury to quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and given the current state of the Philadelphia Eagles, it’s no guarantee the Rams are in prime-time for that game, although the Rams at the Chicago Bears is a possibility.

The Rams and Chiefs have an opportunity to be a ton of points and a lot of fireworks. Something Monday Night Football on ESPN seldom has.
