Here are three reasons the Los Angeles Rams should be rooting for the Seattle Seahawks to fall short of the playoffs.
While the Los Angeles Rams enjoyed the week off from playing thanks to being on the bye, it looks like the team will have to wait at least another week before attempting to wrap up the NFC West title for a second year in a row.
Even though they weren’t officially playing this past weekend, the Rams could have locked up the division if the Seattle Seahawks finished on the losing end to the Carolina Panthers.
Unfortunately, the Panthers failed to come through on their end after the Seahawks pulled off the 30-27 win, meaning the Rams will have to wait at least one more week before having another opportunity to clinch the division title.
Of course, when seeing how Los Angeles has a favorable matchup on the road in Week 13 against the Detroit Lions, and all they need to do to clinch is win, Sean McVay has to love his team’s chances.
With the Rams hanging on to a four-game lead over the Seahawks at the moment, it seems like only a matter of time before becoming division champions becomes official for Los Angeles. But when seeing how Seattle is working their way back into the Wild Card hunt after back-to-back wins, Los Angeles should be concerned.
Record wise, the Rams are obviously having the better season when compared to the Seahawks, but this doesn’t necessarily mean things would be all smooth come playoff time if the two rivals were to somehow end up facing one another.
In fact, for the sake of Los Angeles and their fans, here are three reasons why they should be rooting a little extra harder for Seattle to come up short of earning a playoff berth this season.
