The Los Angeles Rams are back at it after their bye week. They travel to the NFC North to take on the Detroit Lions in Week 13.

The Los Angeles Rams take a 10-1 record to a Week 13 game against the 4-7 Detroit Lions. LA, who is coming off of a bye week, is playing their first of two road games against the NFC North with the Chicago Bears looming next Sunday night.

The Rams are coming off their huge 54-51 win against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 11. A game that saw Jared Goff step up in a big way as running back Todd Gurley was hobbled with an ankle injury. Also worth noting is the likely game time decision on cornerback Aqib Talib who would be a huge assist to an LA defense who is struggling against the pass.

As for the Lions, there’s a lot of disappointment in the Motor City in the first season of Matt Patricia. While Detroit has seen some improvement in their defense, it’s the offense and quarterback Matthew Stafford who has underperformed.

Week 13 has some interesting storylines as Patricia was once considered for the Rams head coaching position, defensive tackle Aaron Donald could have been drafted by the Lions, and Ndamukong Suh makes a return trip to the city he began his NFL career in.

With the calendar turning to December, there is a lot on the line for Los Angeles, especially a shot at home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
