Here are three takeaways from the Los Angeles Rams 30-16 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 13.
After enjoying a week off as a result of the bye, the Los Angeles Rams returned to action during Week 13 with a favorable matchup on the road against the Detroit Lions. Rightfully so, there were some concerns early on about the Rams looking a little rusty since it’s never always easy for a team to pick right up where they left off, but the most important factor is Sean McVay‘s squad held on for the 30-16 win.
As a result, Los Angeles was officially crowned NFC West champions for a second year in a row, which is kind of amazing to think about when seeing how the team still has four games to go. The Rams were rightfully the favorites to win the division when seeing how much talent McVay was fortunate enough to work with on both sides of the football, but even seeing them wrap things up this early was unexpected since the Seattle Seahawks made it look like they would make the race surprisingly interesting.
Of course, just because the Rams have the division locked up doesn’t necessarily mean Los Angeles can now take things easier over these next couple of weeks since the next goal becomes doing whatever it takes to lock up the No. 1 seed in the playoff race. For now, let’s take a look at what took place this past weekend by observing three takeaways from the win over the Lions by the Rams, as the team has plenty of reasons to celebrate heading into the final four weeks of action.
