Here are three reasons the Los Angeles Rams can officially rule Jared Goff out of the MVP race following another disappointing performance in Week 14.

Back in 2016, the Los Angeles Rams decided to trade up in the NFL Draft to select Jared Goff at No. 1 with the mindset the former California star would one day develop into one of the league’s top quarterbacks.

Goff’s first season under center may have been a disaster when seeing how he failed to win a single game in seven starts, but also this wasn’t entirely his fault when looking at the lack of support he received on offense.

From a poor offensive line to a joke of a receiving corps, most quarterbacks in the situation Goff found himself in as a rookie most likely would have struggled as well.

But once Sean McVay officially came on board as head coach in 2017, everything changed for Goff on offense, as Rams fans know when seeing how the last two seasons have been.

Watching Goff quickly flourish during his first season in McVay’s system last year was just one of many examples of just how special of a quarterback he truly is. And while Goff seemed to pick right up where he left off once the 2018 season got underway, the last couple of weeks have also made it clear the youngster still has plenty of learning to do.

There were times throughout this season in which Goff seemed like he could be a potential sleeper when it came to the MVP award, although if there were one member from the Rams who would seem like the best candidate, it would most likely be Todd Gurley.

However, the results of Week 14 for Goff make it seem like any hope of that happening has officially been eliminated, and here are three reasons to back up the claim.
