The 11-2 Los Angeles Rams host the 6-7 Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football.

Prime time football wasn’t particularly good in Week 14. First, the Los Angeles Rams looked about as bad as a team could look given their record, losing to the Chicago Bears 15-6 on Sunday Night Football. Then on Monday night, the Seattle Seahawks beat the under-performing Minnesota Vikings 21-7 in a game that was as unwatchable as the one the previous night.

That’s how they go sometimes.

Nonetheless as LA was looking for a warm locker room during their game against the Bears, it was announced they’d get what amounts to a prime time do-over in Week 15 against the 2017 Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. It’s also a game where Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz returns to the same LA Coliseum where he sustained what was a season ending knee injury last year. Also of note, it re-launched, sort of, the career of former Rams quarterback Nick Foles who would go on to be the Super Bowl MVP.

Yes, there are a few subplots worth reminding you of without needing to reminisce about the first and second first round picks in the 2016 NFL Draft. At this point, the debate about which team did better, or whether Rams quarterback Jared Goff is better than Wentz has been debated and is better left to when the retrospective of their careers airs on the NFL Network.

As for the game, Los Angeles will be looking to bounce back from their loss in Chicago, while the Eagles look to do the same after their 29-23 overtime loss to media darlings, the Dallas Cowboys. Philadelphia at 6-7 looks to be fading fast and most likely out of the playoff picture. The Rams meanwhile are sitting in the second position of the NFC at 11-2 behind the New Orleans Saints who owns the head-to-head tiebreaker.

Los Angeles, who looked to be all but blacked out on NBC this season, now has back to back Sunday night games on the network, giving them four in the stand alone prime time windows.
