3. Johnny Hekker

Even when the Rams were beyond awful a few years ago when they were considered one of the biggest laughing stocks in the NFL, Johnny Hekker was still one of those players who always seemed to be a strong candidate for the Pro Bowl.

Hekker hasn’t made it a secret throughout his career when it comes to being one of the best punters in the league, and despite Los Angeles no longer punting the football as much as they used to, he still comes up big when needed.

With four Pro Bowl appearances over the previous five seasons prior to 2018, Hekker seemed like he would be a lock once again for earning another trip this season.

Instead, Hekker’s name was one of the snubs left off of this year’s roster, which may not seem like that big of a deal, but also was still surprising for Rams fans to see.

Maybe the fact that Hekker is on pace to break last year’s career low of 65 punts (Hekker has 38 at the moment with two games to go) had something to do with him being left out this time around.

Still, the Pro Bowl just doesn’t appear to be the same without Hekker being part of it since he seems deserving over Michael Dickson.
