1. Rams were in win-now mode during offseason

On paper, it was insane to look at the talent Los Angeles had to work with on both sides of the football, whether it was Goff and Todd Gurley leading the way on offense or Aaron Donald being an absolute nightmare for opponents on defense.

Losing right away in the playoffs last January to the Atlanta Falcons was beyond frustrating for many reasons since many believed the Rams were talented enough to win the Super Bowl, but at least it gave them hope about the future.

When seeing how quickly McVay was able to make Los Angeles serious contenders in such a short period of time, the Rams seemed capable of being in great shape for years to come. So far, this has been the case for Los Angeles once again in 2018, but if the team comes up short of the Super Bowl when looking at all of the moves made during the offseason, it’s going to be a huge disappointment.

After last year’s surprise success, the Rams went all out during the offseason to show they were in a win-now mode for the Super Bowl by bringing on any player that seemed capable of helping them achieve their goals.

As mentioned before, Cooks and Suh were two of the biggest names brought on board by Los Angeles, but also let’s not forget about the surprise trade to land Marcus Peters. With all of this talent McVay has to work with, he knows what kind of criticism will be heading his way in the offseason if Los Angeles comes up short of winning the Super Bowl.
