Los Angeles Rams: 4 predictions for Week 16 against the Cardinals
By Steve Rivera
Who would have guessed that the 11-3 Los Angeles Rams would be playing a “must-win” game against the lowly 3-11 Arizona Cardinals in Week 16? With a two-game losing streak, LA needs this game.
As Week 16 approaches, the Los Angeles Rams find themselves in unfamiliar territory. Most specifically a two-game losing streak, injuries, and a general sense that they’ve managed to under perform as the hit the stretch run of the season.
As for fans who roll their eyes and say all is well at 11-3, well OK then. But the eye test is what the eye test is, and right now this team looks nothing like the one who entered the bye week at 10-1.
While most would, or should, agree that the defense is and will continue to be the weaker link for the Rams, the unexpected funk quarterback Jared Goff finds himself in is made worse by a knee injury to running back Todd Gurley that may or may not be 100% anytime soon.

Los Angeles head coach Sean McVay hasn’t yet found a solution to the offensive woes confronting the Rams at the absolute worst time of the season. Over a 17 week season, it’s entirely likely that road bumps occur, but over his first nearly two full seasons, none really have.
In a year where it seemed a full on go towards a Super Bowl than seemed reasonably in reach, the ramifications from a two game skid, an injury to Gurley, a suddenly suspect offensive line, a continued poor playing defense, and a quarterback who picked a bad time to throw a bevy of interceptions via a surprising slump, Week 16 at the Arizona Cardinals is a very big game.
