4. Rams can win final games without Gurley

There’s a popular saying in regards to how nothing is guaranteed in the NFL, no matter how favored a team is during certain games.

Seeing how the Rams have favorable matchups against both the Cardinals and 49ers, one would think McVay’s team would have little trouble going 2-0 during this final stretch, whether Gurley is in the lineup or not.

While Los Angeles won with ease (34-0) over Arizona during their home opener back in September, they had a similar outing in San Francisco towards the end of October after winning 39-10.

The circumstances are a little different this time around, but when comparing the Rams to both teams at this point in the regular season, there’s a good chance both contests will be well over by halftime.

If this happens to be the case since both games have the potential for blowout written all over it, this will only build a stronger case for Gurley being able to get away with earning some rest to avoid making his knee injury worse.

So as risky as it may seem to allow Gurley to rest the knee if needed, the Rams seem like they would be able to get by during both contests.
