2. No. 2 seed seems like a lock for Rams

At the moment, the Rams currently hold a one-game lead over the Bears in the NFC playoff picture when it comes to holding the No. 2 seed in the conference. And while plenty could happen over these final two weeks in regards to Chicago catching up, deep down Los Angeles should feel confident enough this won’t happen.

Nothing against the Bears since Matt Nagy has done an unbelievable job with helping this team become a strong contender in the NFC once again, but it looks like their case over earning a first-round bye is simply too little, too late.

Despite holding the head-to-head tiebreaker over Los Angeles, Chicago knows the only chance they have of stealing the No. 2 seed from the Rams is if they win out while McVay’s team loses at least once over the next two weeks.

Unfortunately for the Bears, the chances of the Rams coming up short against the Cardinals or 49ers seems slim, meaning it seems like only a matter of time before that No. 2 seed is officially locked up.

Also, on another note, as much as Los Angeles wants to believe they have a legitimate chance at the top seed over the New Orleans Saints, that ship has basically sailed.
