It’s time to rank the opponents the Los Angeles Rams should fear the most for a potential showdown in the 2019 Divisional Round of the playoffs.

Even though the race for the No. 2 seed in the NFC was closer than it should have been, the Los Angeles Rams were able to hang on to a first-round bye over the Chicago Bears, meaning Sean McVay’s team will have to be a little patient to see who their Divisional Round opponent is.

As frustrating as it was to watch the Rams miss out on the top seed in the conference after the New Orleans Saints made a statement about being the team to beat in the NFC, Los Angeles should still love their chances of making a serious run at the Super Bowl.

What took place in New Orleans during the regular season was obviously frustrating for numerous reasons when looking at awful Los Angeles played in the first half. But also, these are the kinds of losses that can shape a team into becoming the kind of contender they need to be, so maybe this loss could benefit the Rams if they were to face the Saints again.

Of course, if Los Angeles is going to have any shot at redemption against the NFC South champions, it can only take place in the NFC Championship, which seems like a strong possibility.

However, before jumping too far ahead about this possibility, the Rams will be focused on this weekend’s set of games to see which team they could end up facing in the Divisional Round on Jan. 12.
