The Los Angeles Rams would love to see Josh Reynolds play like he did in Week 17 during the playoffs to give the team a better chance of reaching the Super Bowl.

Now that the Los Angeles Rams get to enjoy a week off before their Divisional Round matchup against one of three potential teams as a result of the No. 2 seed, the main focus for the NFC West champions is making sure everyone is ready to go next Saturday night.

All season, the Rams have been viewed as one of the top teams to beat in the NFC, and rightfully so when looking at all of the talent the team has been fortunate enough to work with on both sides of the football.

From Todd Gurley looking like a MVP once again by finding the end zone 21 times to Aaron Donald having another career year with 20.5 sacks, it’s easy to see why Los Angeles earned the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoff picture behind the New Orleans Saints.

However, just because the Rams found success during the regular season with a 13-3 record doesn’t necessarily mean it’s guaranteed to continue in the playoffs.

If anything, this time of year brings a whole new level of pressure that clearly impacted Los Angeles last January when they lost in the playoffs right away to the Atlanta Falcons, so it will be interesting to see how things are different this time around.

One thing is certain for the Rams at least on offense when it comes to certain players in need of stepping up since the team not only lost Cooper Kupp to a torn ACL, but also played the last two games without Todd Gurley.

That’s where Josh Reynolds could come into play, as the second-year wideout is coming off another impressive outing in Week 17 by catching four passes for 55 yards to go along with two trips into the end zone.

Dating back to his rookie season in 2017, Reynolds has always been the type of receiver who seems to flourish when he receives the opportunity for snaps. And as soon as Kupp went down for the season, Sean McVay seemed confident enough in Reynolds being able to step up for the rest of the way.

Reynolds may not be on the same effective level as Kupp when seeing how great of a job he’s done as the No. 3 option at receiver since last season, but Sunday’s win over the San Francisco 49ers shows what Reynolds can bring to the table.

No matter who the Rams end up facing for their first playoff battle in the Divisional Round, chances are the defense will have most of their attention focused on the whereabouts of Gurley (assuming he plays), Brandin Cooks, and Robert Woods on offense.

If this happens to be the case, this could result in Reynolds seeing additional passes thrown in his direction from Goff. In a way, this was one of the main reasons why Los Angeles wanted to make sure Reynolds was part of the roster for the 2018 season, and now that he has another opportunity to make a name for himself in the playoffs, it’s time for the wideout to continue shining.
