1. Rams, Cowboys displayed epic 2017 battle

Back in 2017, the Rams were originally expected to go through a year of rebuilding while adjusting to having McVay as their new head coach since the team was coming off a season in which they only won four games, and were one of the laughing stocks of the NFL.

As football fans know, that was far from the case, as Los Angeles emerged as a legitimate threat in the NFC, and would even go on to win the division title over the Seattle Seahawks while showing plenty of potential for the future.

Of course, it took a little bit of time for the Rams to prove they were in fact contenders during the 2017 season since they really didn’t face the best of competition over their first three games. But once Los Angeles came up big with a thrilling 35-30 win over Dallas in Week 4, the case can be made this was when fans truly started to believe in McVay’s squad.

When seeing how the Rams were never even leading in this game until late in the third quarter before eventually holding on for the win to improve to 3-1, this was a huge statement for the team at the time.
