Here are five teams that could end up considering the idea of hiring former Los Angeles Rams head coach Jeff Fisher in 2020, depending on how things play out next season.

No matter how hard Los Angeles Rams fans try to forget Jeff Fisher, the former head coach always seems to work his way back into the news cycle every once in a while, which happened to be the case once again on Thursday.

Sitting down for an interview with Sports Illustrated, Fisher discussed plenty of topics, with his desire to hopefully return to coaching someday being one of the things that stood out the most.

Back in 2016, the Rams made the tough decision to fire Fisher before the regular season could come to an end, as that would be the year in which the offense ranked dead last in the NFL by only averaging 14 points per game.

Not to mention, Fisher took a ton of heat for his inability to get any sort of positive production out of Jared Goff, who would end up going 0-7 as a rookie.

As Los Angeles fans know, Sean McVay was hired as the team’s head coach the following month, and the rest is history when seeing how the Rams have quickly become one of the top contenders in the NFL, mainly because of their high-powered offense led by Goff.

Without question, the firing of Fisher was the best thing that ever could have happened to Los Angeles since one can only imagine where this team would currently be if he were still around as head coach.

However, just because things didn’t work out for the best with Fisher and the Rams doesn’t necessarily mean some team won’t take a chance on him at some point down the road.

It may take until 2020 before any team even considers the possibility of giving Fisher another chance since most of the head coaching jobs have already been filled. But when seeing how some teams will most likely be looking for fresh starts with someone once again around this time next year, maybe Fisher will find his name in the conversation once again.

Just for fun, let’s look at five teams that may actually give Fisher a call next year in regards to a potential job opening, depending on how things play out in 2019, of course.
