The Los Angeles Rams got a needed playoff win against the Dallas Cowboys 30-22.
On a cool night in the Coliseum, the Los Angeles Rams beat the Dallas Cowboys 30-22 to advance to the NFC Championship Game. For their efforts, they’ll get either the New Orleans Saints in the Big Easy, or a home game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
TBD.
In the meantime, fans will have an opportunity to relish a home win, a playoff win, a playoff win against the vastly over-hyped Cowboys, and a Rams team who got their first postseason win when they needed it most.
Not too bad for Saturday night in Los Angeles.
Without fail, the whole franchise needed this win. They needed to beat Dallas on a national stage in prime time to validate a coach and a team trending towards overrated via a sports media who suddenly want to question Rams head coach Sean McVay.
Los Angeles managed to beat Dallas at their own game. They ran the football with a young Pro Bowl running back and a veteran who was looking for a little redemption. They avoided mistakes, and best of all found a defense who could stop the biggest threat the Cowboys had in Ezekiel Elliott.
The Rams won a playoff game they desperately needed to against a team the media loves, and in doing so showed the NFL world they are more than they are perceived.
