Beating the Dallas Cowboys 30-22 for his first playoff win is another example of Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams becoming a power player in the NFL.

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay accomplished an important milestone in his young career as an NFL coach. In beating the Dallas Cowboys 30-22, he got a needed monkey off of his back and made certain the media critics who took their shots this week know he’s not a one-trick pony.

Yes, winning Saturday night was that important.

The Rams advancing to the NFC Championship Game is another moment in a two year space of time that further establishes what McVay is building in Los Angeles; a dynasty.

Winning playoff games will do that.

As fans begin to watch what may be the demise of the dynasty that is the New England Patriots, people can now watch the one that is being erected in Los Angeles. With youth at key positions, especially quarterback Jared Goff, the Rams under McVay look to be a player for the long haul.

It only made sense that the Rams would beat Dallas again. This time in LA, after a week where those in sports media began to wonder out loud if McVay is really ‘all that.’

He’s proven he is, and now he’s got his team in the biggest game of a career thus far, with maybe a bigger one in a couple of weeks.
