1. Zuerlein comes up big when needed the most

Remember how devastating it was for the Rams towards the end of last season when Greg Zuerlein suffered a season-ending back injury?

Reliable kickers in the NFL can be difficult to find at times, and even though a few years ago there were some questions surrounding whether he was the answer, thank goodness Los Angeles decided to keep Zuerlein around.

It was one thing to watch Zuerlein connect from 48 yards out towards the end of regulation to help send the game into overtime, but watching the Rams kicker come through when it mattered the most with a 57-yard kick to send the team to the Super Bowl was unbelievable.

Once again, McVay’s aggressive style came up big in overtime since a missed field goal in overtime would have resulted in the Saints getting some amazing field position, but luckily it was a non-issue for Zuerlein.

The Los Angeles kicker has kicked some pretty big field goals over the course of his career, and unless he kicks the game winner in Atlanta, Sunday will easily go down as the biggest he’s ever connected on.

Without Zuerlein, who knows how the NFC Championship would have ended for the Rams, but at least all that matters is he connected on these two kicks when his team needed him the most.
