The Rams will wear fan favorite uniforms for the Super Bowl in Atlanta

The Los Angeles Rams will not disappoint fans with their uniform selections for the Super Bowl in Atlanta.

Whether you are or are not a fan of the Los Angeles Rams, seeing them in their iconic yellow and blue of yesteryear is meaningful. When they play the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta, it will be a big deal.

The NFL got it right when it was announced there would be no uniform issue, controversy, what have you For Super Sunday in Atlanta. The Rams won’t have to wear a kit reminiscent of the St. Louis years, or some weird hybrid of. For Super Bowl Sunday against the Patriots, Los Angeles will wear a color combination fans in LA will know and be proud of.

The playoffs have been a mixed bag for the Rams so far. Against the Dallas Cowboys in the Coliseum, Los Angeles the traditional colors fans love. In New Orleans for the NFC Championship Game against the New Orleans Saints, they wore a hodgepodge of white that included the gold accent from the days in St. Louis.

All that said, credit the National Football League for getting this right, and recognizing a marketing bonanza.

The Rams in Super Bowl LIII against what is the standard bearers for excellence is a story many will tell. As fans and the media note what may be a last hurrah for Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, credit league marketing for catering to what will be a hot story and a hot look.

The classic kit is a nod to the days before heading back east to St. Louis. Uniform colors have also been a bone of contention since owner Stan Kroenke pulled up stakes and brought his team back to Los Angeles.
