The Los Angeles Rams versus the New England Patriots may be the best Super Bowl that fans traveling to Atlanta and those watching at home could have hoped for.

Fans hoping for a repeat of the epic 54-51 high flying win by the Los Angeles Rams over the Kansas City Chiefs on that wild Monday night in the Coliseum, don’t despair. The New England Patriots are a worthy opponent who won’t disappoint

The one thing about the National Football League is its way of reconciling who the best team is come post Super Bowl press conferences. Even if you don’t like the outcome due to overwhelming fandom, the team hoisting a Lombardi Trophy is the team most deserving.

The Rams won a home game against a team everyone liked in the Dallas Cowboys, and then went on the road and beat, yes BEAT a favored New Orleans Saints who squandered a few opportunities to put Los Angeles away early.

As for the Patriots, they beat the Los Angeles Chargers who had just won a previous week road game against the Baltimore Ravens. After destroying the Chargers, they too went on the road and beat the high scoring Chiefs in overtime.

The road to the Super Bowl is a single elimination, one and done format the weeds out the pretenders and leaves only the real deal, with the known outcome that the best team, at least on Super Sunday, is the best left standing.

Rams versus the Patriots will be just that kind of game.
