Here are three reasons Todd Gurley should be able to bounce back for the Los Angeles Rams during Super Bowl 53 against the New England Patriots.

In less than a week, the Los Angeles Rams will officially face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 53 for the opportunity to hoist the Lombardi Trophy, which is still amazing to think about after seeing where this team was a few years ago, especially on offense.

Back in 2016, Todd Gurley seemed to be the lone bright spot on offense for the Rams after the team finished dead last in the NFL by only averaging 14 points per game. In fact, things were so bad for Los Angeles that season, Gurley failed to record a single 100-yard rushing game, showing just how awful things were for the former Georgia star and the rest of his teammates on offense.

Of course, it was unfair to blame Gurley when taking into consideration that the Rams’ offensive line was a joke, and it was tough for him to receive the necessary carries with the team trailing in most games.

Flash forward to two years later, Gurley and the his teammates find themselves one win away from becoming Super Bowl champions while being part of one of the league’s most high-powered offense.

Over the last two seasons, Gurley has become a touchdown machine for Los Angeles, as the running back has been one of a few players on the team who has benefitted the most from playing in Sean McVay‘s system, although it hasn’t always been easy.

During the NFC Championship, one of the biggest mysteries surrounding the Rams was trying to figure out Gurley after the running back was limited to just four carries for 10 yards with a touchdown.

Every once in a while, it’s quite common for star players to have an off day, but seeing Gurley struggle at times in a key game like this came as quite a surprise for Los Angeles.

Luckily, the Rams were still able to pull off the win over the New Orleans Saints to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl for a showdown against a Patriots team looking for redemption after coming up short last February to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Deep down, Los Angeles knows they can’t afford to see Gurley have another game like the NFC Championship since they’re going to need all of the help possible on both sides of the football. So in honor of Super Bowl 53 being right around the corner, here are three reasons to feel confident about Gurley bouncing back in the big game for the Rams.
